HOW TO GET YOUR PRODUCT FREE

Retail Profit

Your retail profit is your "markup" between the wholesale price that you buy the product for, and the higher retail price that you sell the product for.

For example, suppose that your wholesale cost for one bottle of the "perfect product" is $31.50, or $126 for a case of four bottles. This means that if you sell three of the bottles from the case for $42 each, you will have sales income of $126—the exact amount you paid for four bottles at wholesale. This means you have received one bottle free.

You buy 1 case @ $126

($31.50 a bottle)

You sell 3 bottles @ $42 each

Income = $126

Your profit = 1 FREE bottle

Retail Profit Example

In this second example, suppose you have ten retail customer who each buy two bottles. If you make $10 profit on each bottle, that gives you $20 profit for each customer. With 10 customers, you make $200 profit.

You buy @ $31.50 a bottle

You sell @ $41.50 a bottle

Markup = $10 a bottle

10 x

10 customers x 2 bottles

Profit = $200

When you retail product, you should pass your cost for any sales tax and shipping through to your customer. You should not absorb these costs yourself. Just add them onto your markup.
